| Hello all my xanga friends out there, I want to thank you again for your support in taking the time to read my xanga entries. I know I haven't been updating you guys on my life, but I'm here now, and you don't have to worry about that. First of all, I wanna update you guys on my job. I had earlier in August quit my job at Crayon Academy (daycare) because I didn't feel like I was getting the respect that I needed that you were supposed to get when you get a job, and so I had been out of a job for a while, for several weeks. Then, one day while my mom was getting her car fixed, with the tires, me and her decided to stop by Talent Academy (daycare) and ask if they had any openings. They said that they don't have any openings right now but that they needed a substitute for that day since the morning teacher couldn't stay in the afternoon. They told me I could come in at 3:30 pm, and the latest I can come in is 4:00 pm. They said they only needed me as a substitute teacher on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. After my first day, on the next day, the manager called me and said that they really don't have an opening for me, but they would like to hire me as a PERMANENT teacher. I was like really surrprised. So, when I first walked in, the kids were already awake and playing with toys, and they're so well-behaved, then after they played for a bit, they had snack, so I told them to go wash their hands and go potty if they needed, and they were very obedient and listened to me. The boss, and manager told me to ENFORCE teaching the kids English. After snack time, they were supposed to learn some English like the days of the week, months of the year, ABCs, and etc, after that I let them read a book for about a hour, or since they don't know how to read, I told them to look at the pictures, and if they wanted me to read them a book they were gonna have to wait one at a time, after reading was play time with toys, while they waited for their mommys and daddys to come pick them up. So, once the kids were all gone, I tidied up my classroom, and signed out on the time sheet. Second, I get to resume going back to college FINALLY, what has been holding me back, and what has been keeping me behind and not starting school when everyone else does has been my FINANCIAL AID, I had officially renewed it in early March, since the deadline was in April. I thought everything was good to go, but I never heard word from them when to sign my award letter of me receiving my financial aid, and so then I went to the school in the middle of July and they said that I didn't give them a copy of my mom's and my tax return forms, and so other stuff. So, mid-August we turned in everything we could, and so I knew in my heart that there's no way I'll be able to start school when everyone in TX is gonna start, and I didn't get a letter in the mail till the middle of September telling me that they've approved of my financial aid, and that I had financial aid, so as soon as I received that letter and clicked on Accept Financial Aid, I immediately signed up for classes, the only thing I did after that was the next day I went to the school and asked them how do I verify or pay for my classes, what proof did I have, and the guy told me "It's ALREADY PAID!!!" I was very !!! So here's my fall schedule: SOCIO 1301- Introduction to Sociology Instructor: Frank Monteleone Days of week: M , W 1 PM - 3 PM MATH 0312 - Intermediate Algebra Instructor: Amin Ahmed Days of week: M , W 3 PM - 5:30 PM1 PRAYER REQUESTS: If it's not too much trouble could you pray for my right eye because it's bothering me! What happened was that yesterday I had worn my soft contact lens all day, and I usually take my contacts off when I get home from church so I can rest my eyes, but I forgot to do that yesterday, and had them on till at night, when I went to my friends house to borrow their internet for my sister to use the internet for research since our internet was obviously not working then, and so when I was at my friend's house talking to her, my right eye contact started to bother me, and I had my contact lens container with me, but I was too lazy to go to the bathroom and take them out to relief my eyes from being irriating. So when I woke up this morning, my right eye was completely red, no matter how much allergy eye drops I put in it, still red, and it's hard for me to blink, and like I tear up for no reason at all, and I feel uncomfortable because I can't blink correctly like some people can, and plus, I could barely keep my eyes open in class cuz of my eye. So if you could pray for me that God will heal my eye, and that it's nothing too serious, when I go visit the eye doctor tomorrow, I will greatly appreciate all your prayers. Thank You. edit...// I went to see the eye doctor, Dr. Chan on Wednesday 9/27 at 1:30 pm. I waited for him to return to the Sugar Land branch office, because in the morning he goes to the office in Houston, and also he was out to lunch too, and didn't come into the Sugar Land branch till 2 pm something. I was in so much pain!!!!! and I was tearing up tooo because it was hurt so much to open my eye, and to blink. So, when the nurse, or the lady called me in to the office to see Dr. Chan, I still had to wait, but when we didn't have to wait anymore, Dr. Chan told me I had an infection in my right eye, and that it was so serious he didn't specialize in treating my infection so he transfered me over to a doctor named Dr. Alice Matoba, at the Medical Center near Rice University, a Japanese doctor, that was Dr. Chan's former teacher when he was in school. I like her a lot, she's a good doctor, when she sees you, she tells you things in a calm manner and doesn't make you scared or make the situation sound as bad as it does. The first 2 days after seeing Dr. Matoba on 9/27, she told me I had to put these 2 antibotic eye drops in my eye every 15 mins, so of course, being told that "do you think I got any sleep the first 2 nights?" The answer is a flat out "NO!" because I had to get up every 15 mins and put eye drops in. Then, it became better, I had to use 3 antibotics eye drops in my right eye instead of every 15 mins, it was every half an hour. & Yes, I still didn't get any sleep, cuz of the constant need to put eye drops in my right eye. Then, the doctor said gave me 4 antibotic eye drops to put in my right eye, and instead of every 15 mins, and every half an hour, my schedule was like this: The first 2 antibotics eye drops every 4 hours, so that would look like : 12 AM, 6 AM, 12 PM, 6 PM Then, after seeing the eye doctor on 10/4 she said that one of my antibotic eye drops that I used to use for every 4 hrs is now 1 time every day so it looked something like this: 9 AM, 9 PM One of the antibotics eye drops was every 2 hours instead of every hour. & The last one of the antibotic eye drops is 1 drop 2 times a day and that would look like 9 AM, & 9 PM. So yeah, I haven't been getting much sleep lately, cuz of the routine schedule for the eye drops that needs to be used. On 10/4 I went back to see Dr. Matoba, and she told me that she's been noticing that I've been improving more and more each time I arrange a time to see her, and that once my bacteria is fully healed, I'll still have scars, and will need a cornea transplant. Do you ever take things fro granted? I know I have lots of times, you NEVER truly know what you have until you lose it or don't have it. It's so painful not being able to have 2 fully healthy eyes, I have 1 healthy eye, while the other one I have to put so much eye drops in my eye. |
